Winter terraces with a view: where to find the best rooftop terraces in Montréal?

Terrasse Belvu - Off-piste

La Terrasse Belvu

An après-ski scene smack dab downtown? It’s all this and more at the Montréal Marriott Château Champlain! Nestled high above the city with crackling fireplaces, cozy terrace heaters and soft, snuggly furs, this open-air winter terrace offers an original lineup with two signature themes designed to heat up weekends and events in the heart of winter. For the holidays, the terrace becomes the Holiday Chalet, decked out with twinkling lights, garlands, and decorated trees. Starting in early January, the “off-trail après-ski” vibe takes over, bringing lively outdoor parties with a DJ for winter enthusiasts.

Society for Arts and Technology [SAT] - Gratiné - Après-ski, Raclette and DJ: FORREST

SAT winter terrace

The Société des arts technologiques presents Gratiné, an exclusive winter event that transforms the Pavillon restaurant terrace into an urban chalet in the heart of Montréal’s Quartier des spectacles. Happening for just four nights—January 29–30 and February 5–6—this Montréal après-ski experience celebrates the city’s wintry charm. Blending a cozy indoor vibe with a festive outdoor terrace, Gratiné draws inspiration from the House of Gucci aesthetic (or, in true Montréal style, the “House of Goût-Ski”), combining alpine glamour with mountain spirit. Expect raclette, cheesy pretzels, warm whisky-infused broth, and flambéed Baked Alaska for an indulgent, playful taste of winter in the city.
