La Poutine Week 2025 is here! Starting February 1st until the 7th, over 100 restaurants across Montréal celebrate the 13th edition of La Poutine Week festival.
What is La Poutine Week?
For its 13th edition, restaurants will be serving classic poutines to haute cuisine poutines that will satisfy the most discriminating palates. For one week, restaurants in the greater Montréal area will put their signature spin on Québec’s unofficial-official dish in the name of friendly competition. Prizes will be awarded for “People’s Choice” and “Judge’s Choice” among other categories via the La Poutine Week website.
From Vancouver to Calgary, Winnipeg and beyond hundreds of restaurants right across Canada are celebrating La Poutine Week to make this event a truly Canadian festival! Like last year, La Poutine Week is bringing back “YUM points”. Diners can redeem them for poutines through the event and qualify for cash prizes!
Theme
This year, La Poutine Week is challenging restaurants with a new theme: Around the World! This theme invites chefs to craft poutines inspired by flavours and cuisines from across the globe.
Partnership with Food Banks Canada
La Poutine Week is proud to partner with Food Banks Canada, an organization committed to combating hunger and supporting those in need nationwide. Each restaurant has to option of donating part of their proceeds to this amazing cause.

As it is every year, the poutine offerings are kept a secret but we can share these sneak peeks at a few plates that you have to look forward to.
La Banquise
This snack bar located on the Plateau-Mont-Royal is an absolute must in Montréal. This year, they will serve poutine topped with shredded duck, wine pepper sauce, and a sprig of parsley.

This year’s poutine, Chef Oussama Ben Tafous is collaborating with Chef Antonin Mousseau-Rivard of Le Mousso to offer a “Korean inspired” poutine, called "Bring da Ruckus". It is composed of crispy chicken, topped with a tangy gochujang, ginger, honey, and sesame sauce, crowned with crispy fried chicken and a touch of chili threads for an explosion of flavours.

Called “La Poutine des Bois”, it features, fresh fries, cheese curds of the day, braised beef, mushrooms, onions, cream and butter topped with a creamy forest sauce.
