Dulce - Jontae McCrory, Brian Mendez, Chivengi & G Mako

“Dulce” asks what it means to be desirable and what worlds must be rebuilt for desire to emerge. Blending ballroom, myth, and Black queer futurity, it follows communities remaking themselves after upheaval. A dancer wields a caduceus‑inspired metal pole that becomes part of the body, shifting between femme and masc energies and evoking Yorùbá sun‑and‑moon cosmologies. Ballroom appears as both aesthetic lineage and social structure of survival, kinship, and world‑building, shaping a space where joy and sensuality meet.
