Chalet du parc La Fontaine
Culture, arts and heritage Leisure activities Architecture Indoor Plateau-Mont-Royal and Mile End
Inaugurated in 1951 by Mayor Camillien Houde, the historic Chalet du parc La Fontaine is representative of the park's architecture from that time. Nestled within the beloved park, among the decades-old trees and near the sprawling pond, the chalet offers breathtaking views. It features a catering service and is the departure of the “Mini-Express”, a real train that criss-crosses the park to the delight of passengers and onlookers alike. During the winter, skate rentals are available for those who wish to enjoy skating on the pond.
