Square Viger
Culture, arts and heritage Leisure activities Architecture Outdoor Downtown
Square Viger is a transitional green space and gathering area that sits between bustling downtown and historic Old Montréal. The improvements to the area highlight the monument to Jean-Oliver Chénier as well as the pergolas of artist Charles Daudelin. Thousands of colourful flowers invite visitors to come in and relax under the warm Montréal sun with the canopy of over 50 trees providing ample shade for those who seek it. A public square in the space hosts seasonal activities such as neighbourhood parties, concerts and outdoor screenings.
