Restaurants open from morning to evening
If you’re looking for spots where you can spend the morning waking up with a coffee, then savouring a great lunch and dinner and finally take in some drinks with friends late into the night, we’ve got a list for you.
Ginkgo
Situated on the UQAM campus, this beautiful restaurant with huge windows and plants everywhere is great from morning straight into evening. Ginkgo serves brunch every day and is open late seven days per week. This is a popular spot with university students.
Monopole (café et buvette)
This Old Montréal café turns into a wine bar in the late afternoon and into the evening. Head over for a cup of java and pastries from popular Hof Kelsten and as of 3pm, you can accompany some delicious food with a glass of wine (or beer and cocktails if you prefer!). Brunch is served on Saturdays from 10 am to 3 pm.
Café Denise
Denise is a café to start the day but come lunchtime and evening, Denise becomes a restaurant with a modern Vietnamese influence. You’ll find Banh Mi sandwiches, Bò lá lôt (Vietnamese beef in lolot leaves) and let’s not forget Vietnamese coffee made with condensed milk on their menu. Their evening wine selection is varied enough in price and taste to please everyone.
Darling
A panoply of multi layered grass, plants, wood, knick knacks, vintage finds and more are all part of this fantastically looking café and bar. Pastries and coffee are served in the morning while afternoons are filled with cocktails, beers and ciders. This is a perfect restaurant for meeting over coffee and then lingering to enjoy drinks.
Boxermans
In this magnificently put together space with a long communal table in the center of the restaurant and a funky curved bar, mornings at Boxermans are made up of coffee and pastries. A good wine list, cocktails and their signature sandwich are just a few other reasons to stay for lunch starting at 11 a.m. or visit for dinner. Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m.
