UCI Road World Championships Montréal 2026
Greater Montréal once again takes center stage in the cycling world, hosting the UCI Road World Championships. This free, eight-day event marks the first time since 1974, and the biggest sports occasion since the 1976 Olympics, that the city welcomes 1,000 elite athletes from more than 75 countries. Featuring 13 thrilling races, it’s set to captivate over 250 million viewers globally. The Elite races take place on September 26 and 27, in Montréal and across 8 municipalities in Montérégie: Brossard (start), Carignan, Chambly, Saint-Jean-Baptiste, Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Saint-Mathias-sur-Richelieu and Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. The event also celebrates the 50th anniversary of Montréal’s iconic 1976 Summer Olympics, making 2026 a monumental year.
