In Praise of the Missing Image

As part of the 19th edition of MOMENTA Biennale d'art contemporain, the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal (MAC) is co-presenting the central exhibition entitled "In Praise of the Missing Image". Curated by guest curator Marie-Ann Yemsi, this exhibition features works by artists Iván Argote, Maureen Gruben, Joyce Joumaa, Niap, Lee Shulman + Omar Victor Diop - The Anonymous Project and Sanaz Sohrabi. Their works explore colonialism and its various symbolic ramifications, through a variety of media including photography, sculpture, installation and video. Creative workshops and activities for all ages are also on the program.
