Otakuthon Anime Convention
Festivals and events Leisure activities History Indoor Outdoor Downtown
Anime stars and fans come out to play at Montréal's Otakuthon, the second-biggest convention of its kind in Canada, celebrating the stories, characters and artistry of classic and cutting-edge Japanese anime, manga and games. Otakuthon transforms the Palais des congrès de Montréal into a colourful, fantastical cosmos, featuring an exhibition space, talent ready to meet fans, a manga library and game room, and talks and workshops by artists, actors and anime industry experts. Cosplay also takes centre stage, with thousands of fans bringing characters to life in ultra-detailed costume. Meet cosplay stars, see the best costumes on stage at the Masquerade event and the World Cosplay Summit competition and much more.
