Henri-Michaux : Mouvements + Solos et duos choisis by Marie Chouinard

“Henri-Michaux: Mouvements + Selected Solos and Duets by Marie Chouinard” brings together two facets of a choreographic practice that bridges the intimate and the monumental. A selection of emblematic solos and duets opens the evening, where offered bodies, pointe work, laughter, and cries coexist within a raw physical language. In the second part, the stage becomes a blank page. Henri Michaux’s 1951 book “Mouvements”, composed of a long poem and ink drawings inspired by Asian art, serves as a choreographic score. Blots and shifting figures come alive through malleable bodies, driven by the uncompromising music of Louis Dufort, creating a dialogue between drawing, sound, and movement.
