Biennale ELEKTRA, International Digital Art Biennial

Highly present in contemporary culture, video games are increasingly being used by a new generation of artists as a means of expression. The ELEKTRA Biennial “F(R)ICTION” brings together artists from diverse backgrounds, ranging from game design to fine arts. Presented at Arsenal Contemporary Art, the exhibition features large-scale installations and bold, experimental works by internationally renowned artists. At the intersection of art and play, these complex and engaging works challenge the stereotype of video games as purely industrial products reduced to simple entertainment, often violent and sexist, dnd instead position the medium as fundamentally inclusive.
