Recipient of the "César" award for Best Original Screenplay for this play, Le dîner de cons brings together a stellar cast. Every week, Pierre Brochant (Normand D'Amour) and his friends organize a dinner where each person must bring along a fool. The one who brings the most spectacular fool is declared the winner. Tonight, Brochant is ecstatic because he has found a rare gem, a world-class fool named François Pignon (Laurent Paquin), a civil servant at the Ministry of Finance who is passionate about matchstick models. What he doesn't know is that Pignon is a master at causing disasters.
