Bal des enfants - Orchestre symphonique de Montréal (OSM)

The Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal (OSM) is pleased to present, on February 16, the world premiere of Le Carnaval des insectes, a musical work by Quebec composer Maxime Goulet. Conceived as a suite of short movements, each piece will highlight an insect and an orchestral instrument, offering a unique opportunity to hear each family of instruments as a soloist. Ants, bees, beetles, and many other insects will be evoked by the orchestra’s varied timbres. To complete the celebration, other little critters might just join in! For this Bal des enfants under the theme of the Carnival, there’s no need for butterfly nets or fly traps; just open your eyes and ears wide!
