Atelier C.U.B - Variations

In the exhibition, the works come in a variety of forms and functions, from the utilitarian to the purely aesthetic. All explore the themes of connection and movement, approached from different angles. Inspired by Charles Deaton's organic architecture, surrealism and rhythmic musicality, these creations are intended as an antidote to gloom. They seek to soothe, both through the creative process and in their final presence. Atelier C.U.B is an artist duo formed by Sophie Gailliot and Richard Pontais. Together, they design furniture, sculptures and murals featuring sheathing and leather marquetry, combined with cabinetmaking.
