1985. Image-Worlds

In celebration of its 40th anniversary, VOX is looking back on the decade that left its mark on its history and that of Québec. This exhibition brings together works and visual references emblematic of the period. The forthcoming companion publication will examine the lasting impact of the 1980s on our world today, addressing political tensions, economic recession, ecological challenges, the art ecosystem, technological transformations, demands for change from artists, youth, feminists, and First Peoples, and not least, the global AIDS epidemic. On May 24, from 2 to 3:30 p.m., a special visit will take place to reflect on the issues that have affected young generations from yesterday to today.
