1974-75 - Fifty years of cinema at Concordia
Festivals and events Leisure activities Arts Indoor Downtown
As part of Concordia’s 50th anniversary celebrations, the university is partnering with Cinéma du Musée to present a special film series highlighting 50 years of cinema! Nine feature films have been carefully selected. Each film will be accompanied by a presentation or a discussion session led by a professor or researcher affiliated with the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema. The chosen films provide a snapshot of cinema from 1974 and 1975, in Quebec, North America, and internationally. The mid-70s was a significant period in the development of cinema, as art-house films began to gradually gain prominence alongside the blockbusters of the time.
