Façades : Fenêtres sur ma ville, mural by Rafael Sottolichio
Culture, arts and heritage Leisure activities Architecture Outdoor Downtown
A dynamic city, it’s culture and the ideas held within are evoked with The Facades mural. This is the first trompe-l’oeil mural of this scale in the city, featuring a stone facade representing an era when Montréal was being built into modernity while shapes, both familiar and abstract, represent nods to the city’s past, its diversity and the complexities that extend beyond, into our world. The work, by artist Rafael Sottolichio, is located in the heart of downtown Montréal with striking views of the mural visible from Dorchester Square and Sainte-Catherine Street.
