BIXI Montréal
The city Outdoor
BIXI comes from combining the words bike and taxi. A true means of urban transportation, BIXI is a public self-service bicycle sharing system allowing you to borrow a bicycle from a station and return it to any other station in the network. All you need is a credit card to choose one of the options offered. You can rent a bike directly from the terminal or via the BIXI app. Regular and electric BIXIs are adjustable and equipped with lights. The BIXI system has more than 900 stations and more than 11,000 bikes (including 2,600 electric BIXIs) spread across the areas of Montréal, Laval, Longueuil, and other neighbouring towns. It should be noted that there are many rules in place with regards to electric bikes including the use of a helmet.
