Parc Jean-Drapeau, minutes from downtown Montréal, spans two islands on the St. Lawrence River. Named after a 30-year mayor, it hosted historical events such as Expo 67 and the 1976 Summer Olympics and continues to welcome international happenings. It provides numerous facilities and recreational spots such an open-air amphitheatre, a metro station, the Biosphère, a public beach, three heated outdoor pools, La Ronde amusement park, two museums, Le Casino de Montréal and more. This green oasis is a haven for sports, recreation, nature, and culture, with a 25-kilometre network of multi-disciplinary trails that wind through a picturesque landscape dotted with valuable public artworks and vistas of Montréal’s cityscape.
