Extraordinary sights

One of Montréal’s most cutting-edge summer festivals, the internationally acclaimed MUTEK festival of digital creativity and electronic music will run from August 20 to 25, 2024. MUTEK’s 25th anniversary promises to be an unforgettable celebration of the spirit of innovation and avant-garde that has driven the festival since its inception. Experience six days of onscreen spectacles, immersive sonic artistry and late nights of underground techno, house and other electro experimentation.

MUTEK XXV will take over several top-tier venues in and around downtown, including a series of free shows at outdoor space Esplanade Tranquille in the Quartier des spectacles. With so much going on, MUTEK’s Festival Guide helps orient even the most seasoned festivalgoer to this year’s program.

Unprecedented premieres

While several world-renowned artists are making their debut at MUTEK XXV, others are returning with propositions that are as bold and captivating as ever. For the first time, Montréal will host live performances by Ela Minus, Factory Floor, Octo Octa, Roman Flügel and Wajeed. In honour of the fest’s monumental anniversary, we can celebrate the return of Cobblestone Jazz, Mathew Jonson, Marie Davidson, Steffi and Pole, who were all part of the MUTEK’s very first edition in 2000.
