Take full advantage of summertime at Jardins Gamelin! For the 1th season running, enjoy a lively public space showcasing urban agriculture, themed gardensplus free cultural, educational and musical programming reflecting the diversity and artistic richness of Montréal, 7 days a week. On the program a lush terrasse that doubles as a Snack Counter run by Les Survenants and festivals all summer long. Delicious summer fun, guaranteed!

Regular offerings

The Snack Counter and bar is back,  serving up the delicious eats of street food pros, Les Survenants. For lunch, happy hour or supper al fresco, check out the menu featuring reinvented classics with Gamelin flair. A children’s menu, plus gluten-free and vegetarian options are also available. New this year : every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening, enjoy delicious tacos and cheesy gringas with the Fiesta! menu. 

Freshly redesigned and renewed last year by the multidisciplinary design studio EN TEMPS ET LIEU, the large terrace at Jardins Gamelin  makes even more room for urban agriculture with the addition of large planters, burgeoning with flowers and shrubs throughout the summer. A fresh spot to cool off!

In the thematic gardens, back year after year, you can discover several species of plants, and a butterfly house with dozens of butterflies. In the greenhouse, the extension gardeners of Sentier Urbain are on hand to answer your questions and offer guided tours on two Sundays this summer – July 21 and August 25 – ending with a magical flight of butterflies. 

Any day of the week, come and play giant outdoor games: Fast sling puck, Connect 4, Chess, Cornhole Toss and Jenga. Self-service games such as ping-pong and foosball are also available.

Evolving program

This 11th edition features over 14 series of weekly outdoor activities from noon ‘til night. Dance, karaoke nights, circus, queer art, cabarets, outdoor projections, music of all genres, arts and crafts workshops, urban agriculture and fun activities for the whole family: the choice is yours!

Festivals and performances, all summer long

A variety of festivals, including Festival Accès Asie (closing night on May 31), MUTEK (July 18), Haïti en folie (July 25), Fierté Montréal Pride (July 31 and August 1), the Indigenous Peoples' Festival (August) and Quartiers danses (two afternoons in September)keep the Jardins Gamelin hopping all summer long! What’s more, different performances are added each week to the initial programming. Check Jardins Gamelin’s website, Facebook  and Instagram pages often so you don't miss a thing!
