Les Jardins Gamelin, a lush cultural space in the Quartier des spectacles
Take full advantage of summertime at Jardins Gamelin! For the 10th season running, enjoy a lively public space showcasing urban agriculture, themed gardens, a newly designed layout, plus free cultural, educational and musical programming reflecting the diversity and artistic richness of Montréal, 7 days a week. On the menu: a lush and lively terrasse, festivals all summer long and the grand return of the Snack Counter run by Les Survenants. Delicious summer fun, guaranteed!
Regular offerings
The Snack Counter and bar is back, serving up the delicious eats of street food pros, Les Survenants. For lunch, happy hour or supper al fresco, check out the new menu featuring reinvented classics with Gamelin flair. A children’s menu and vegetarian options are also available.
Freshly redesigned and renewed by the multidisciplinary design studio EN TEMPS ET LIEU, the large terrace at Jardins Gamelin this year makes even more room for urban agriculture with the addition of large planters, burgeoning with flowers and shrubs throughout the summer. A fresh spot to cool off!
In the thematic gardens, back year after year, you can discover several species of plants, and a butterfly house with dozens of butterflies. In the greenhouse, the extension gardeners of Sentier Urbain are on hand to answer your questions.
From Wednesday to Sunday, come and play giant outdoor games: Scrabble, Connect 4, Chess, Cornhole Toss and Jenga. Self-service games such as ping-pong and foosball are also available.
Evolving program
This 10th edition features over 14 series of weekly outdoor activities from noon ‘til night. Dance, music of all genres, arts and crafts workshops, urban agriculture and fun activities for the whole family: the choice is yours!
