Francos lineup unveiled
Summertime in Montréal is festival time! Fresh out of the blocks is the lineup for the Francos 2024, a fabulous French-language music fest featuring performers from around the globe. From June 14 to 22, 2024, an array of artists from here and abroad will take to the stage to get you up on your feet and dancing to the beat!
So many artists to see
The Francos gives you the perfect chance to see your favourite groups and singers, or expand your horizons and make new musical discoveries. This 35th edition, dedicated to Guy Latraverse, will showcase Evelyne Brochu, Francis Cabrel, Galaxie and Lary Kidd on day one of the festival (June 14). This year, you can also catch Aliocha Schneider (June 19) and Valence (June 21).
Many artists from near and far, all French-speaking.
LILI ST-CYR, the musical
There’s more to the Francos than just music. The musical LILI ST-CYR, which wowed Québecers when it hit the Salle Kingsey stage at the Centre-du-Québec, will be playing at the Théâtre du Nouveau Monde during the Francos. Come watch the brilliant acting, dancing and singing by the incredible cast of Marie-Pier Labrecque, Lunou Zucchini, Kathleen Fortin, Maxime Denommée, Roger La Rue and Stéphane Brulotte to a soundtrack of 1940s music. Fall in love with this story of professional aspirations, bets, female identity and solidarity from June 12 to 14, and June 18 to 20, 2024.
Sustainable development at the heart of the Francos mission
The Francos has been making huge efforts to manage residual materials in accordance with the 3R-RD principle: reduce, reuse, recycle, reclaim and dispose. Festivalgoers have access to a number of self-service water fountains to encourage the use of reusable glasses and water bottles. Also, plastic glasses have been abolished, sorting islands have been set up, and the event's facilities are powered by hydroelectric energy and solar energy as often as possible, and much more.
Its Hirondelles initiative, introduced in 2017, raises awareness, prevents and takes action against various forms of sexual assault and harassment of women, marginalised people and members of the LGBTQ+ communities to ensure their safety on site. Members of this team can be easily identified by the Hirondelles (swallows) logo on their shirts. The site hosting both the Francos and the Jazz Festival was also designed with accessibility in mind; the layout allows people with reduced mobility to get around easily so they can enjoy their festival experience to the fullest.
Entrance to the Francos site and the majority of shows is free of charge. To buy tickets for indoor shows, go to the Francos website.
