
Superheroes at Montreal Comiccon 2026
Cinema icons Lea Thompson, Ron Perlman and Robert Englund are among the big names at the 16th edition of Montreal Comiccon which takes place from July 3 to 5 at the Palais des congrès.
What is Montreal Comiccon?
Launched in 2009, Montreal Comiccon is a multi-genre pop culture convention showcasing the best in comic books, sci-fi, horror, manga/anime, toys, movies, video games and the entertainment universe. Montreal Comiccon grew from a few hundred guests to become one of the largest of its kind in Canada, drawing tens of thousands of devoted fans to meet and see celebrities, artists, cosplayers, retailers and performers from the worlds of pop culture, entertainment, movies, comics and manga.
This year’s edition spans three floors with shopping, video games, tabletop and role-playing game zones, conferences, workshops, cosplay, a vast exhibit room, an artist alley, corporate and interactive booths, guest panels, film screenings, celebrity autograph and photo sessions, a costume contest and a masquerade for pop culture fans of all ages.
Who are Montreal Comiccon’s celebrity guests?
Montreal Comiccon’s 2026 guests of honour are all cinema legends:
- Lea Thompson (Back to the Future, Red Dawn, Caroline in the City) currently starring in the W/Hallmark series The Chicken Sisters;
- Ron Perlman (Hellboy, Sons of Anarchy), fresh off his special appearance on Prime Video’s hit live-action series Fallout;
- Robert Englund (A Nightmare on Elm Street, V) is returning by popular demand.
Featured guests include:
- Catherine Tate (The Office, Doctor Who);
- Tyler Hoechlin (Superman & Lois, Teen Wolf), appearing July 3 only;
- Tyler Posey (Teen Wolf, Scream: Resurrection);
- Neil Newbon (Baldur's Gate 3), the voice and motion-capture actor behind the popular character Astarion Ancunin;
- Brandon Rogers (Helluva Boss, Hazbin Hotel), voice actor and co-writer on two of the most successful animated series on YouTube and Prime Video.
Which comic book creators will attend Montreal Comiccon?
Staying true to its roots, Montreal Comiccon welcomes legendary comic book creators who have shaped some of the industry’s most seminal works, including:
- Canadian artist Tom Grummett who co-created the new Superboy and is known for his work on Adventures of Superman, Action Comics and Superman: The Man of Tomorrow;
- Dan Jurgens, writer and penciller with numerous Superman titles to his credit;
- Darick Robertson who found success with Transmetropolitan, and collaborated with Garth Ennis on the adult superhero comic book series The Boys.


Gaming and Interactive Experiences
Montreal Comiccon features an Indie Game Zone and a Tabletop Game Zone catering to the growing community of tabletop role-playing game enthusiasts.
Memorabilia and collectibles
Treasure hunters can spend three days checking out more than 100 specialized retailers from all over Canada to find beloved and rare comics, toys, fantasy crafts and collectibles.
Cosplay and masquerade
Fans are also encouraged to wear their best character costumes and be heroes for a day. On July 4, some of the world’s most outstanding cosplayers will wear spectacular costumes to impersonate their favourite heroes in the popular Masquerade contest. In addition, the 2026 Cosplay-Eh! Canada Cosplay Championship finale will crown Canada’s best cosplayers on July 5.
